#ShedFest 2017

In the spirit of Summer, having fun and promoting the activities of Men's Sheds CymruShedQuarters are teaming up with other sheds from across the borough in order o bring the people of the Ogmore Valley the first ever #ShedFest that promises to be a fun community day for the whole family.

The idea for #ShedFest was inspired by a very successful and enjoyable open day held recently by Squirrels Nest in Tondu where there was live and relaxed take part music activity, crafts on display and for sale, have a go activity and food.

Therefore, #ShedFest will aim to include these activities as well as even more on offer for both younger and older children and adults at large.

The event will take place Saturday the 2nd of September at Ogmore Life Centre starting 10am and finishing at 3pm. There will be wet weather provision outside as well as indoor activities, so no need to stay at home in case it rains!

After the event some of the men will make their way to Ogmore Vale Bar & Restaurant for some more musical fun for all patrons to join in with.

Also, if you pick up a festival flyer from any of the shops in the Ogmore Valley and take it along to this particular curry house on Sunday the 3rd of September you will get 10% off your meal!

Various organisations and individuals from the Ogmore Valley area are joining in to make this day something memorable and enjoyable for all with activities on offer including amongst others:

  • Multi sports & games
  • Bouncy castle
  • Children’s entertainment
